We all know that public health emergencies are dangerous for everyone involved but especially for low-income families that are already struggling to meet their basic needs. As the government takes the appropriate measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, a bi-product is school closings.
Although the school closings are appropriate, it is also important to remember that school meals are the only source of food that some students receive.
While the government is actively working on figuring out solutions, here in Charlotte we want to jump in where we can!
We have partnered with Queen City Stem School to help meet the needs of 70 families who are immediately impacted THIS week!
70 families x 5 days = 350 meals
Will you join us in this effort?
